Advisers go mobile to offer business support
KNARESBOROUGH will be one of the ports of call next week when Business Link Yorkshire's business advisers take to the road in the Harrogate area.
A new mobile unit makes it easier for local businesses to access face-to-face business support in the area and the unit will be visiting Knaresborough, Pateley Bridge and Ripon with advisers on board to answer questions and offer free advice on a wide range of topics, from starting out in business to growing and developing your own business.
Bookings will also be taken for Business Link events.
The unit will visit Knaresborough in the Chapel Street car park on Thursday, February 11 between 9am and 4pm.
Local business manager, Brian Woodhouse said: “This is an opportunity for businesses that are located in the remoter parts of the region to come and meet their local business advisers face-to-face.
“We can help them set up, survive, grow, increase profitability and access the best advice to move their business forward.”
A range of useful factsheets are available to take away and representatives from the Harrogate and Dales Tourism Partnership and Growing Routes will be there.
l Issues covered include free events on marketing, customer service and selling on the web, information on diversification, business finance and developing your employees, vouchers of up to 3,000 to help with innovation projects and applying for funding from the rural business support programme.
