£18k from Knabs Ridge wind farm

COMMUNITY groups have been awarded more than £18,000 in cash grants from the Knabs Ridge Wind Farm fund.

These are the first grants to have been made from the fund and 13 local groups have benefited.

Among them is the Hampsthwaite Bowling Club, Felliscliffe Young Farmers Club and Norwood Social Hall.

There is some money remaining in the fund, open to projects benefiting Felliscliffe, Hampsthwaite, Birstwith, Norwood, Menwith with Darley, Haverah Park with Beckwithshaw and Fewston.
