UPDATE: Body found in search for missing man

Police searching for missing Harrogate man Keith Broadbent have found a body.

Mr Broadbent was reported missing on Tuesday evening and officers carrying out searches of the River Nidd near Conyngham Hall found a man’s body this afternoon, Thursday February 7.

A police spokesman said Mr Broadbent’s next of kin have been informed, although formal identification has not yet been carried out.

Earlier, Insp Andy Chapman of Knaresborough police had said police search teams were looking for a body but other enquiries were still going on.

The search for Mr Broadbent has been stood down, police confirmed.
