Two men glassed at a Harrogate Bar.

Two men were taken to hospital after being glassed in a busy Harrogate Bar.

Both victims were treated at Harrogate District Hospital for head injuries after the attack in Lure Bar, in the Ginnel at around 11:50pm on Saturday March 2.

Police believe the men had just entered the premises and were trying to get to the bar when they were attacked.

Detective Constable Kirsten Aldridge, of Harrogate CID, said: “This is an isolated incident for Lure Bar and their staff were quick to react and are currently assisting with our enquiries to identify the suspects.

“The bar was busy at the time of the incident and I am appealing to anyone who saw what happened to come forward as soon as possible.”

The suspects are both white and aged in their early 20s. The first man is described as being around 5ft 9in tall with a medium build and short brown hair. He had stubble on his chin and was wearing a fitted, grey top.

The second man is described as being taller than the first man, with a stocky build and short blonde hair. He was possibly wearing a white t-shirt.

Anyone who can help officers with their enquiries is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 2, and ask for Kirsten Aldridge or Harrogate CID.

If you wish to remain anonymous, Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111.
