Police officers injured in crash

A 19-year-old Harrogate man has been arrested after a collision with a police 4x4.

The man, driving a Seat car and the marked police Land Rover Discovery collided at a junction on Clint Bank, Pateley Bridge Road, Burnt Yates, near Harrogate, at 8.25pm last night, Wednesday, December 19.

He was arrested on suspicion of driving without due care and attention and has been released on bail pending further investigations.

The driver and passenger of the Discovery received serious but not life threatening injuries. They were taken to Harrogate District Hospital where they were treated before being released.

An appeal has been made for any witnesses to contact Harrogate police on 101 or email rpghq@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk.
