The health trust has launched a public consultation into plans to close inpatient services at specialist dementia care unit Alexander House.

The consultation is looking for views on care for older people across the Harrogate district, including the future of the Rowan ward at Harrogate Hospital and Alexander House.

Four public meetings will be held: November 12 at Knaresborough Town Hall, November 13 at Ripon Town Hall, November 22 at St Robert’s Centre Harrogate, all at 6.15pm; and November 20 at St Marks Church Harrogate at 2.15pm.

There is an online survey that can be completed, or a paper copy can be requested from Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust by phoning 01423 859623.
