POLICE are appealing directly to a Harrogate teenager to hand himself in.

Ryan Stuart Wilson, 17, failed to turn up to a court appearance before magistrates in Harrogate last week.

Police say he had failed to comply with a supervision order following a sentence for burglary with intent and criminal damage.

Inspector David Porter, of Harrogate Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “It is important that Wilson faces the consequences of his actions.

“Ryan, I am also speaking directly to you. I strongly advise you to turn yourself in. This case will not go away and you are only creating more issues for yourself and your family.”

Wilson, of East Parade, failed to attend a court appearance last Wednesday, May 16.

He is described as white, 5ft 10in tall with short dark brown hair.

Police say that although his whereabouts are unknown, they strongly believed that he is still in the Harrogate area.

Insp Porter said: “I urge anyone who may have seen Ryan Wilson since last Wednesday to contact the police immediately.”

Anyone with information is asked to call North Yorkshire Police on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
