Firefighters cut a woman out of her car after a collision near Knaresborough on Friday, October 12.

The woman was trapped in an Audi Q3 after a collision with a van on the A59.

Crews from Harrogate and Knaresborough went to the scene at around 7pm, and spent 30 minutes cutting the roof off the vehicle using specialist hydraulic cutting equipment, stabilisation kit, and lighting, to free the woman.

She was taken to hospital by road ambulance with suspected neck and spinal injuries.
