Alexander House

A consultation is underway into plans to close inpatient services at Knaresborough’s specialist dementia care unit Alexander House.

The Tees, Esk and Wear Valley NHS Foundation Trust is looking for views on care for older people across the Harrogate district.

This includes the future of the Rowan Ward at Harrogate District Hospital and Alexander House in Knaresborough.

People are invited to attend the first of four public meetings with presentations and discussions, which will be held at Knaresborough Town Hall on November 12 from 6.15pm.

This will be followed by meetings at Ripon Town Hall on November 13, St Robert’s Centre in Harrogate on November 22, all at 6.15pm, and on November 20 at St Marks Church in Harrogate at 2.15pm.

Online surveys are available, or a paper copy can be requested from 01423 859623. For more information on the consultation and public meetings, visit www.tewv.nhs.uk.
