Arson investigators have released CCTV images of a man they are trying to trace after a fire outside Harrogate’s Debenhams store.

The fire, in the early hours of Friday, September 28, began after a wheelie bin was pushed up against the loading bay doors on Union Street. The bin was damaged and the smoke caused damage to stock inside the store.

While the fire was some months ago, police have been holding on to the images as they try and trace those responsible.

They are now appealing for the man in the picture to contact the police as he could have important information. Anyone with information is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 2 and ask for Harrogate CID, quoting reference 12120162718.
