Burglary crackdown

Police appeal.

Two people suspected of burgling a house on Starbeck High Street have been arrested in a police crackdown.

A man, 35, and a woman, 49, both from Leeds were arrested moments after the burglary was reported on January 3.

In total 13 people were arrested by North Yorkshire Police in a 24 hour period from the 3 to 4 January 2013.

A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: “Burglary is a major priority for North Yorkshire Police and these arrests send a very clear message to criminals that our determination to rid them from our communities is stronger than ever.”
