Appeal after town centre attack

An attack on a man in Harrogate has left him with bruising and swelling to his face.
The 34-year-old, a local man, was attacked near the taxi rank on Station Parade at around 5.30pm last night (Wednesday).
Police say he was left with bruising and swelling but didn’t need hospital treatment.
A 35-year-old man has now been arrested in connection with the incident and released on police bail as enquiries continue.
Officers are appealing to anyone who witnessed the attack to contact them with information.
Anyone who can help officers with their enquiries is asked to call North Yorkshire Police on 101 – select option 2 – and ask for PC Nicky Wareham or Harrogate police.
