Hampsthwaite Show: calling younger would be gardeners – it is still not too late to plant the seed potato and runner bean which were given out at the school before Easter so you can enter the show on July 20. Even if you do not attend the school, you can still enter by obtaining a potato and bean seed from Sue Streather who can be contacted on 771931. There is also a class for under 16s for the best sunflower. See posters in the village for more details.
Film Study Day in Hampsthwaite: Stephen Brown’s courses have attracted quite a following and for this course which is taking place on May 11 at the Memorial Hall in Hampsthwaite, the theme is Pulling a Stunt. It is hoped a real live stunt artist will be able to go along. This is an opportunity of looking at the who, the what, the why and the how of action movies. The day starts at 10am and finishes at 4pm. The fee includes refreshments including lunch. For more information or to reserve a place contact Stephen on firstname.lastname@example.org. Having been to Stephen’s course entitled Made in Yorkshire, I can confirm you would be in for a fascinating day.
