People have just a few weeks left to enter the Martin House Hospice 2016 Grand Car Raffle.

Now in its sixth year, the Car Raffle has clocked over £180,000 for children and young people with life-limiting conditions across the region and was kicked off by Leed Rhinos Jordan Lilley and Ashton Golding, with the fundraising odometer expected to be over £200,000.

Up for grabs in this year’s draw is a brand new Citroen C1, which comes with three years’ warranty and is zero-rated for car tax. Thanks to the generous sponsorship once again of longstanding supporters Evans Halshaw Citroen of Whitehall Road, Leeds, and leading confectionery firm, HARIBO, almost all of the funds raised through ticket sales go towards supporting Boston Spa-based Martin House families.

Corporate Fundraiser at Martin House John Haigh said: “There aren’t many opportunities to win a car for a pound, but the Grand Car Raffle gives you this and more as each ticket you buy could help us to provide care and support to a family near you, whether this is at our hospice or in their own home.”

Evans Halshaw Citroen, Leeds, Dealer Principal Peter Dean said: “We were thrilled at the success of last year’s Car Raffle and hope to smash the £200,000 mark this year.”

Julie Beaman, for HARIBO added: “We hope that the campaign will not only raise much-needed funds, but raise awareness of the wonderful work the hospice does to support families in our region.”

To buy tickets go online at www.martinhouse.org.uk, phone 01937 844569 or at a Martin House shop. The draw will close on Monday 27 June 27. The winner will be drawn on Thursday June 30.
