Organisers of the Bramham Park Fun Run are celebrating one of their most successful events ever.

The Fun Run returned for its 17th year in October and final tallies show it has raised £12,575 for Cancer Research UK, ensuring the event has now raised over £190,000 since it started.

The event is sponsored by local estate agent, Andrew Beadnall of Beadnall Copley Limited, who covers all costs for this annual event.

Cancer Research UK Local Fundraising Manager, Lynne Desborough: “With all costs covered by our generous sponsor, Beadnall Copley, all the money raised by participants goes directly towards funding our life-saving research in Leeds, helping our researchers to find a cure for cancer.

“With the new event organiser, Beverley Firth at the helm, this has been a fantastic year for the run.

“We cannot thank her enough for all her hard work in making the run such a success. We saw many familiar faces on the day as well as lots of new supporters so we are sure this will continue to grow in strength.”
