Firefighters put out Harrogate toaster blaze

Firefighters in Harrogate were called out to two small fires in the town on Sunday evening and through the night.

Crews were called to a chimney fire on Lancaster Road at 5pm on Sunday evening, (January 25), using an aerial ladder platform to reach the flames.

Early the following morning (January 26), firefighters were called to a fire at a flat on Devonshire Place in the town.

Fire crews were called to the scene at 4.35am, helping to put out a fire in a toaster.
