A NEW pool champion has been crowned at Boroughbridge Youth Centre following a tournament lasting several months.
Kieran Horner, 12, picked up the trophy after competing in weekly games at the centre, which is based at the town’s high school.
The competition was just one of a number of activities at an after-school club for students run at the centre by the county council’s Youth Support Service.
Other activities have included a photography club, arts and crafts, and computer games.
A new pool tournament will begin in September, with games played on Tuesdays from 3.40-5.15pm.
