Ofsted inspectors have heaped praise on a Harrogate school for jumping from ‘Inadequate’ to ‘Good’ overall in just two years.
Starbeck Community Primary School made the unusual leap in overall effectiveness after a June 2013 inspection.
Each of the four Ofsted criteria, being achievement of pupils, quality of teaching, behaviour and safety of pupils and leadership and management were rated ‘Good’, after the school was served with notice to improve in February 2012.
Staff and pupils celebrated the achievement with a party in the playground on Friday.
