Darley Community Primary said well done to teaching assistant Mrs Sue Allman after 40 years in the post.

Sue, who joined the school in 1976, has worked with nine headteachers, over 3,000 children and more than 25 differnet teachers.

Headteacher Nick Coates said: “To celebrate, the entire school got dressed up in ‘70s gear, had a special celebration lunch and generally made a fuss of Mrs Allman all day.

“Sue’s long service is an amazing achievement.”

Sue, who is pictured with pupils and staff at Darley Community Primary, will continue in her role after the summer break.
