TWO sets of school leaders have been chosen for the upcoming academic year.
St John Fisher and St Aidan’s schools – which have a joint sixth form – have each picked their new head boy and head girl.
At St John Fisher, they are Matt McGonagle and Elizabeth Webster, who have both been at the school since Year 7. Matt is studing English literature, geography, history and politics, while Elizabeth’s subjects are economics, English literature, geography and psychology.
Among their new responsibilities will be representing the student congress, attending meetings with school governors and giving speeches at open days.
Their counterparts at St Aidan’s are James Brown and Maisie Adam, who will represent their own student committee - known as the Senate - in weekly meetings with senior staff, representing the views of the whole student body.
They will also organise charity and social events for the associated sixth form, with pupils at both schools.
