Pupils at Rossett School have helped develop an app to keep parents in the loop.

Students were involved in the design of the app, which includes a calendar, contacts list and copy of the latest school bulletin.

Information on teacher training days and parents evenings feature in the calendar.

It is hoped the app will keep parents in touch with the latest news from the school, and pupils were asked what should be included and how the app should work.

Headteacher Pat Hunter said: “A real strength in the development has been feedback from students, staff and parents. It has helped us to evolve the design and content.

“Whilst we are pleased with the outcome and the fact that we are the first school on North Yorkshire to have our own app, we will continue to take feedback and develop the ideas further.”

The Rossett app is now available to download on all devices. For more information, visit www.rossettschool.co.uk/app.
