Personnel from RAF Leeming took place in a National Playday which aims to highlight the importance of play in children’s lives.
Playday was originally designed to highlight the loss of children’s play services around the UK and has been running for 24 years. More than 850 events take place nationwide this year.
The event at RAF Leeming was organised and ran by Beverley Baxter who is the station youth worker with 4Children at the unit.
“I organised this event with the intention of all children and young people having an afternoon of free and safe fun activities with their friends and family.
“It was an immense amount of fun for all of us and the water fight at the end of the afternoon rounded everything off perfectly.
