Students at Gateways School in Harewood are celebrating after an impressive set of A2 results.

Gateways School Headmistress, Dr Tracy Johnson said, “As a non-selective school we are thrilled to have a pass rate of 100 per cent and are especially delighted that 50 per cent of all grades awarded were at A* and A grade level.

Teachers and students alike have worked very hard to ensure a high level of success and their efforts have been justly rewarded.”

Last year the school reported success for its Modern Foreign Languages Department having secured 100 per cent A* and A grades across all three languages.

This year it is the turn of no fewer than three departments to claim this honour with all candidates in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Psychology walking away with nothing less than one of the top two grades.
