Four drivers miraculously escaped without serious injuries following a multiple car crash on the A59 at Flaxby yesterday (March 30).

Police were called to the A59 between Goldsborough and Flaxby after a crash involving a Honda CRV, an Audi A4, a Vauxhall Corsa and a Vauxhall Astra.

Despite all four cars suffering extensive damage in the crash, only a 61-year-old woman and a 25-year-old woman were taken to hospital with slight injuries.

A 67-year-old man and a 36-year-old man managed to walk away unharmed from the crash.

Police closed the road at around 6.15pm to clear debris leading to severe traffic delays. Officers then opened the road two hours later.
