Pink Craft Fair: Sally Harrison would like to thank everyone for their help, support and contributions over the years which has made the Pink Craft Fair such a huge success. It was her final one this year, for the time being anyway but watch this space. This year the event raised £850.

Tombola and Cake Stall: in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support (Harrogate Branch) was held at The Wellington Inn on Sunday, October 13 raised £1,146. Emma, Helen, Cielo, Heather and Jane would like to thank everyone who supported them on the day and Barclays Bank PLC for matching £4 on the cake stall.

Darley in Bloom: present the latest production by North Country Theatre - The Lost World by Arthur Conan Doyle. There’s many a man who never tells his adventures for he can’t hope to be believed. - Lord John Roxton. But seeing is believing and when the infamous Professor Challenger declares the existence of a pre-historic plateau hidden in the Amazon jungle, Roxton and his fellow explorers set out to see for themselves. Each man approaches the adventure with private motives but the wonders and terrors of the place draw them together as they are forced to confront the unbelievable. 7.30pm in Darley Memorial Hall on Thursday, November 14. Darley Christ Church Community Centre: Courses and activities. Great British Cake Stall Ideas - Thursday, January 9, Thursday, February 6 and Thursday, March 6. Spooky Cup Cake Workshop - Thursday, October 31. 9.30-11am. Flower Workshop - Thursday, November 14 from 8.45pm. Jenny Robinson will be leading this friendly flower workshop in November, if you have a little experience or are a complete beginner, please feel free to come along. Dusty Miller Know How Evenings - Thursday, November 21, Thursday, January 16 and Thursday, February 20. A short series of tasty demonstration evenings. Brian Dennison is a local Michelin chef, who has kindly agreed to lead these evenings where he will show us simple ideas to create amazing food to serve to friends and family. This group is aimed at complete beginners or people who have already started to do a little research. Gardening Club: the next meeting of The Glasshouses and District Gardening Club will be held in Dacre and Hartwith Village Hall, Thursday, November 21. The speaker will be Edward Clements who will be talking about Mediterranean Travels with a Camera. Our meetings are free to members, and non members are always welcome to join us, though in that case we ask for a contribution of £3. 01423 712124.
