Family Christmas Fair: at Dacre and Hartwith Village Hall on Saturday, December 7, 1-5pm. Free entry. There will be fantastic stalls, refreshments, a grotto and children’s activities. Everyone welcome.

Festive Fayre: at Hookstone Memorial Hall, Low Lane, Thornthwaite on Saturday, December 7. Apple and chestnut soup, cranberry daube, roast turkey sandwich with stuffing and cranberry. Mince pies with chantilly cream, traditional sherry trifle, chocolate roulade, fresh fruit pavlova, mulled wine and more.

Felliscliffe Young Farmers - Christmas Dance: will be held on Saturday, December 7 at Hampsthwaite Memorial Hall, 7.30-pm12.30am. Band, buffet supper and homemade deserts. Darley Family Film Night: come and see Wreck-It Ralph, the latest Disney Pixar film, on Friday, December 13 at 6pm at Darley Memorial Hall. The Cinema-size screen and hi-fi stereo sound makes this the ideal pre-Christmas treat for all the family. Admission is £2 per person (under 5’s free) and you pay on the door (all children must be accompanied by an adult). Light refreshments (including ice-cream) will be on sale.
