Dacre Banks CC: are holding their AGM on Friday, November 8 in the pavilion commencing 7.30pm. All playing members are asked to attend and anyone interested in joining the club for the 2014 season will also be most welcome.

Darley Remembrance Service:the annual short service and musical interlude to commemorate Remembrance Day will be held at Darley Memorial Hall on Sunday, November 10 from 2.30pm. Admission is free and there will be a collection on behalf of the Royal British Legion. Music will be provided by the Dacre & Summerbridge Silver Prize Band and light refreshments will be on sale.

Traditional Ceilidh: to be held on Friday November 8, 7.30-11.30pm at Dacre and Hartwith Village Hall. You will enjoy a three course hot supper followed by dancing to the lively music of The Village Hop Band. The event is organised to support maintenance of the village hall. Why not organise your own group, book a table and have a great evening together. Tickets, priced at £12.50 for adults and £5 for children, are available from Dacre Stores and Summerbridge Post Office.

Darley in Bloom: present the latest production by North Country Theatre - The Lost World by Arthur Conan Doyle 7.30pm in Darley Memorial Hall on Thursday, November 14. Tickets £10 (under 16s - £6) Telephone 01423 781862 or 780673. Teas/coffees & biscuits available.

Summerbridge Players: rehearsals are going well for Comfort and Joy, a seasonal comedy by Mike Harding in Dacre Village Hall. Start the Christmas festivities with family, daft neighbours and general mayhem. Wednesday-Saturday, November 27-30 (four performances), Earlier start at 7.30pm. Gardening Club: the next meeting of The Glasshouses and District Gardening Club will be held in Dacre and Hartwith Village Hall on Thursday, November 21. The speaker will be Edward Clements who will be talking about Mediterranean Travels with a Camera.
