Open Gardens: the gardens at Low Hall, Dacre Banks and Woodlands Cottage, Summerbridge will be open on Sunday, May 12, 1.30-5pm. The admission costs will be £3 at each garden and the money raised will go to the National Gardens Scheme to support charities including the Macmillan Cancer Support and Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Charity Fashion show: with Harriets from Otley, raising money for Cystic fibrosis (Charity number 1079049) on Thursday, May 9 at the Millstones, on the A59. Coffee Morning: to support The MS Society on Saturday, May 11, 10am-noon at Christ Church Community Centre. Please support this coffee morning by attending or baking a cake – better still, both. Details from Nicky 01423 781423 or Angela 01423 780056

The Great Fish and Chip Supper: comes to Darley Christ Church Community Centre and car park on Saturday, May 11, 5-6.30pm. We are joining forces with Hooked N Cooked to help raise funds for the Spinal Injuries Association. Enjoy take away fish and chips or have a sit in meal complete with a cup of tea. Summerbridge WI: the next meeting is on Monday, May 13, 7pm in Dacre Village Hall. This will be a social evening with supper and a quiz. Visitors and new members are always very welcome.

Coffee Morning: with cakes and produce at Darley Methodist Church on Saturday, May 18, 10.30am -noon.

Creatures Exhibition: at The Studio, Dacre Banks, HG3 4EL. Open invitation to this exciting exhibition of works by several local artists along the theme of Creatures. Artists include Hester Cox, Stefania Romaniak, Jane Carlisle Bellerby and Frances Payne. Refreshments and a chance to chat to the artists about the work on display. All welcome. Dacre Banks Cricket Club: on Saturday, May the 2nd team will be at home to Birstwith Thirds.

Darley Cricket Club: On Saturday, May 11 the1st teamwill be at home to Hampsthwaite.

Glasshouses & District Gardening Club: the next meeting will be held in Dacre & Hartwith village hall on Thursday, May 16, at 7.45pm. The speaker will be Rebecca Wilson who will be speaking about composting with the North Yorkshire Rotters.
