Library Coffee Morning: with card and cake stall will take place on Saturday, April 13, 10am-noon at Christ Church Community Centre, Darley.
Hartwith Heritage Open Day: on Saturday, April 13, 1-4pm at Summerbridge Methodist Church. Drop in and discover Hartwith’s rich heritage. Browse the exhibition and chat to members of the Hartwith Heritage Group who have been exploring the areas rich historic environment in detail in recent years. This is a great opportunity to enjoy the group’s collection of photographs, maps, stories and much more. There will be an opportunity to purchase publications produced by the group. All welcome and refreshments are provided. Supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
The Royal Oak Quiz, Dacre Banks: the next quiz will be on Sunday, April 14 at 8pm. To raise funds for Dacre Banks Crown Green Bowling Club. The quiz has a £2.50 entry fee per person, included is a pie and pea supper. Preferably teams of no more than four but not enforced. It is advisable to ring Anna or Steve on 780200 and book a table. This helps with the catering, although not essential, just come and have some fun, we will find you a space.
Womens Christian Fellowship: the next meeting will be on Tuesday, April 16 at 2pm at North Pole Farm, Back Road, High Birstwith when the speakers will be Maureen and Arthur Dean of Cherry Burton. Tea and biscuits, conversation and fellowship. Please note the new venue for this event. Anyone requiring a lift, please contact Cindy Beck (01423) 780845.
Glasshouses & District Gardening Club: the next meeting will be held in Dacre & Hartwith Village Hall on Thursday, April 18 at 7.45pm. The speaker will be Jackie Giles who will be speaking about The History of Barnhaven, Primroses. The meeting will include the AGM. Nidderdale Society: the next meeting will be on Monday, April 15 The Magic of Monologues by John Wallis, 7.30pm at Dacre Banks Village Hall. The society also organises walks, the next one will be on April 30 starting at Pateley Bridge long stay car park. The leader will be Jack and the walk will be seven miles long.
