Woman hurt in Harrogate hit and run

A woman has been hurt in a hit and run in Harrogate in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Police say the 38-year-old, walking along Victoria Road at around 1am, was knocked down on the corner of Esplanade. The driver left the scene without stopping.

The woman was taken to Harrogate District Hospital and treated for minor injuries, and police are now investigating.

Officers say they would like to talk to the driver, believed to be a man in his late 20s. They say there were also women or girls in the car.
