A 69-year-old woman who was found collapsed with head injuries in the Hookstone Chase area of Harrogate last week has died.
The woman was found by a member of the public on a path behind Sherwood Drive, off Hookstone Chase towards Panhandle Park, at around 9.45am last Thursday (June 23).
Police and ambulance crews attended the scene and the woman was taken to Harrogate District Hospital.
Officers cordoned off the bottom of Dalby Avenue and the path at the top of Hookstone Chase while they conducted inquires in the area.
However, police have concluded that the woman's death is not suspicious.
A North Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: "Sadly the 69-year-old woman who was found collapsed in the area of Hookstone Chase on Thursday, June 23 has died. After conducting inquiries in the area, police believe there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the woman’s collapse and that her collapse and death were due medical issues."
