A 23-year-old man was left needing surgery on a broken jaw after a serious and unprovoked attack in Harrogate.
The man suffered a fractured jaw when he was seriously assaulted on Parliament Street between midnight and 3am on Sunday September 25.
The 23-year-old required surgery at York District Hospital following the attack but has since been discharged.
PC Amy Coe, of Harrogate Response and Reassurance, said: "This appears to be an unprovoked attack and we are doing everything we can to track the suspect down and support the victim.
"If you have any information which could help to identify the unknown man responsible for this assault, I ask you to contact the police straight away."
