Harrogate police have released CCTV of a suspect who claimed a refund products he had not bought.

The man took light fittings from the shelves at the Homebase store on Plumpton Park Industrial Estate, before taking them to the returns Counter where he claimed a £160 refund.

It occured on Sunday 16 June 2013.

The suspect is described as being a white man, with a large build, having short grey hair and wearing glasses.

PC Alan Berwick, of Harrogate Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “If you recognise the man caught on camera, I ask that you contact the police as soon as possible.

“I am also keen to speak to the man himself. It is possible that there has been some confusion and he is not responsible for committing this fraud. If this is the case, I urge him to come forward so that he can be eliminated from my enquiries.”
