STOLEN jewellery has been recovered by police who are now trying to trace its owners.

Ripon police are asking members of the public to get in touch with them if they recognise any of the items.

Watches, rings, earrings and pendants were found as part of a burglary investigation.

PC Simon Pape of Ripon police said: “We have investigated a number of burglaries in the Ripon area and have charged a man in connection with the offences.

“These items of jewellery were discovered as a result of our enquiries, however, so far, no-one has come forward to claim them.

“We would like to re-unite the jewellery with its rightful owner and are appealing for people to get in touch with us if they recognise any of the items from the photographs.”

Pictures of the items have been uploaded to North Yorkshire Police’s website at www.northyorkshire.police.uk.

Anyone who believes the jewellery might be theirs is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 2 and ask for Simon Pape.
