POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a number of crashes in the Harrogate district.
A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries in a crash with a car on Ripley Road last Friday night.
The man was taken to Harrogate District Hospital with serious but not life threatening injuries after the crash at the junction with Havikil Lane at about 10pm.
Police say the motorcyclist, on a black Yamaha, had been heading towards Knaresborough when he was in collision with red Mazda leaving Havikil Lane.
TC Steve James, of the Road Policing Group, said: “I need to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or saw either of the vehicles prior to it.
“I ask that they contact me as soon as possible.”
Police said on Wednesday that the motorcyclist remained in a stable condition.
Anyone with information is asked to call TC James on 0845 6060247 quoting reference number 12110056439.
Earlier that evening, firefighters had gone to the rescue of a man who was hurt in a crash outside the station.
Shortly before 9.30pm, two cars and a heavy good vehicle collided outside the Harrogate Fire Station on Skipton Road.
No-one was trapped in the crash, said a spokesman for the North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue service, but one man suffered injuries and was assisted by firefighters.
Police are appealing for witnesses after a third crash, on Saturday between two cars on Poplar Grove.
At around 1.25pm a black Ford Escort collided with a black Ford Fiesta which had been turning into a driveway, having travelled from the direction of King Edward’s Drive.
Police believe that there may have been people in the area at the time of the crash who may have information that can help with their investigation.
TC Andy Macleod, of the Harrogate Road Policing Group, said: “The driver of the Fiesta was held up by two pedestrians just prior to the collision.
“I would appeal for those two people to come forward if they have any information that could help with our enquiries.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact TC Macleod on 0845 6060247 quoting reference number 12110056799.
