Police in North Yorkshire have introduced a 3D laser scanner to help reduce the amount of time they spend at the scene of car crashes.

The new scanner can capture the entire scene, allowing officers to examine it at the station. The scanner, which is accurate to within a few millimetres, can produce a video fly-through of a scene and capture still images.
