Police are hunting a shoplifter who stole two bottles of vodka from a Harrogate supermarket in July.

The thief bagged two bottles of Smirnoff Vodka from the Co-op Store, Grantley Drive at about 8pm on Friday, July 26.

Police have released an image of a man they want to speak to in connection with the theft.

The man is described as white, 5ft 9in tall, with a medium build and short dark brown hair.

PC Mark Weir, Harrogate Safer Neighbourhood Team, urged anyone that recognised the man caught on came to speak to the police straight away

He added: “It may be that the man in the image is not responsible for the theft.

“If this is the case, I urge him to contact the police straight away so that he can be eliminated from our enquiries.”
