The following were dealt with at Harrogate Magistrates Court on October 8:

Martin Hugh Johnston, 31, of 13A Roche Avenue, Harrogate, was given a one-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months for stealing a Star Bar worth 70p from the One Stop Shop in Knaresborough Road, Harrogate, while subject to previous court orders. He must complete a six-month treatment programme for alcohol dependency and is subject to a one-month curfew, as well as being ordered to pay 70p compensation.

He was handed a one-week consecutive sentence suspended for 12 months for a further offence of stealing from the same premises and was ordered to pay compensation of £4.18, costs of £50 and a criminal courts charge of £150.

A further four-week consecutive sentence suspended for four weeks was imposed for committing an offence while subject to a previous community order and costs of £40 were imposed for failing to comply with the requirements of the order.

Jordan Sekhri of 75 Wike Ridge Avenue, Leeds, was given a six-month curfew with electronic monitoring for sexually touching a woman aged over 16 at Wetherspoons in Crescent Road, Harrogate. He was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £60, costs of £85 and a criminal courts charge of £180.

Heidi Raper, 31, of The Stone Barn, Tickhill Farm, Wetherby Road, Plompton, was fined £100 for driving while under the influence of alcohol. She was ordered to complete a 14-day Drink Impaired Drivers course and to pay a victim surcharge of £60, costs of £85 and a criminal courts charge of £150. She was disqualified from driving for 24 months, to be reduced by 24 weeks on completion of an approved course.

The following were dealt with at Harrogate Magistrates Court on October 6:

Samantha Louise Lister, 25, of 56 Avenue Grove, Harrogate, was given a two-month curfew with electronic monitoring for stealing equestrian items worth £574.41 from Ride Away in Sutton on the Forest. She was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £60, costs of £85 and a criminal courts charge of £180.

Kimberley Wall, 27, of 30 Willow Grove, Harrogate, was given a 12-month community order for fraud at Knaresborough Swimming Pool, after refunding money from tills to her debit card to make a gain of £520.25. She was ordered to carry out 60 hours of unpaid work and to pay a victim surcharge of £60, costs of £85 and a criminal courts charge of £180.

Stanley Michael Sands, 19, of Holly Court, Bewerley Farm to Turner Bridge, Bewerley, was find £40 for driving without due care and attention. He was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20, costs of £85 and a criminal courts charge of £150. His licence was endorsed with three points.

Erin Kelly McMillan, 34, of 149A Dene Park, Harrogate, was given a six-month conditional discharge for stealing wine, milkshake and deodorant, worth £12.67, from the Co-op in High Street, Starbeck. She was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £15, costs of £85 and a criminal courts charge of £150.

Fiona Lynne Ramage, 50, of 23 Scargill Road, Harrogate, was given a six-month conditional discharge for stealing cheese from Oakdale Service Station in Ripon Road, Harrogate. She was ordered to pay compensation of £5.29, a victim surcharge of £15, costs of £85 and a criminal courts charge of

£150.

Stefan Antonio Slack, 21, of 7 Avenue Street, Harrogate, was fined £40 for being drunk and disorderly at McDonald’s in Cambridge Road, Harrogate. He was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20, costs of £85 and a criminal courts charge of £150.

Nathan John Welbourn, 21, of Flat 4, 36 High Street, Starbeck, Harrogate, was given a six-month conditional discharge for being drunk and disorderly in East Parade, Harrogate. He was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £15, costs of £85 and a criminal courts charge of £150.

Benjamin Robert Donnelly, 29, of Brandon Lodge, 3 Lancaster Park Road, Harrogate, was given an absolute discharge for two counts of theft from the One Stop Shop in Knaresborough Road, Harrogate.
