A flasher wearing a smart suit exposed himself to two teenage girls as they passed his parked car in Harrogate.

The youngsters, walking along York Road on Tuesday afternoon, were targeted by the man aged in his 30s or 40s who exposed himself to them.

It is the second time a flasher has struck in Harrogate in just two weeks.

A lone woman, walking along the Stray on December 13, scared off a man by shouting at him after he jumped out from a behind a tree and flashed at her.

Police are investigating but said they weren’t aware of any links between the two at the moment.

PC David Minto, speaking about Tuesday’s incident, said: “This is a very disturbing incident, which is especially worrying as the victims were clearly young girls.

“I need to speak to anyone who can identify the man responsible for this disgraceful act.

“I am also keen to speak to anyone else who may have recently been a victim of a similar offence and has not yet reported it.”

The incident happened on York Road between 4.25pm and 4.50pm. The flasher had just driven from Duchy Road.

He is described as being aged between 30 and 40 years old with short hair. At the time he was wearing a dark suit and white shirt.

Anyone with information should call police on 101.
