Engagement ring stolen in Harrogate burglary

Burglars have struck at a house in Harrogate stealing treasured jewellery including a diamond engagement ring.

The thieves targeted the Almsford Close house last Friday morning between 9am and 11am, also stealing a ladies gold Rolex wristwatch and gold cufflinks.

Investigating detectives are now appealing for witness or information.

“If you were in the Almsford Close area around the time of the burglary, I am asking you to come forward if you noticed any unusual or suspicious activity,” said Det Con Chris Spackman, of Harrogate CID.

“I also need to speak to anyone who may have been offered any of the stolen items for sale and ask that they get in touch.”

Police are warning homeowners to lock their doors, even if they are at home.
