Police in Harrogate are appealing for information about the following crimes which have been reported in the district in recent days.
l Paving slabs were stolen from a property on Kent Road between 4pm on October 17 and 8.30am the following morning.
l Paving stones were also stolen from a property on Rutland Close between 9am and 1.30pm on October 16.
l Thieves forced their way into a newsagents on Wetherby Road, stealing around £2,000 worth of cigarettes and tobacco.
Investigating detectives say the burglars are believed to have struck at Wilkinson’s newsagents around 3am on Saturday morning.
Officers are appealing to anyone who saw any suspicious people or vehicles in the area around the time of the incident to get in touch.
They are also urging people to come forward if they have been offered any cigarettes or tobacco for sale in suspicious circumstances.

l Police in Ripon are appealing for information after thieves broke into a cafe - and stole crisps.
Police say the Sun Cafe in the Spa Gardens was targeted between 6.30pm on October 11 and 7.30am the following morning.
“During this time the café was broken into and someone had entered and stole packs of crisps from inside,” a spokesman said.
“As a result of the damage and disruption the café had to be closed which prevented members of the community using the facility.”
