Police in Harrogate are appealing for information about the following crimes which have been reported in the district in recent days.

l A car was damaged on Granby Road in the early hours of Saturday April 5. The wing mirror was torn off and thrown against the car at approximately 2am.

l Burglars struck at a house on Link Way between noon and 9.15pm on Saturday, April 5. They got into the property through an open ground floor window and stole a laptop and tablet.

l An orange Stihl leaf blower model BG56 was stolen from the rear of a vehicle in Hampsthwaite at 10am on Monday, April 7.

l A dark blue ‘Martin’ mountain bike was stolen from the bike rack on Abbey Wing at Harrogate Hospital between 2.30pm and 11pm on Monday, April 7.

l A car parked overnight on Lund Lane in Killinghall was keyed down one side on Wednesday, April 9.

l A sneak-in burglary was reported after a bright purple HP laptop was stolen from a house on Lime Street between 9pm and 9.30pm on Wednesday, April 9. Burglars got into the property through an unlocked back door.

l Spotlights were stolen from the roof of a recovery truck on East parade sometime overnight on April 7.

l An old Victorian street light on Victoria Road was damaged by being bent over sometime on April 9.

l A mountain bike was stolen from the rear yard of a property on Leeds Road between 1pm on Thursday, April 10 and 8am the following day. It was a Marin Bear Valley mountain bike.

l Burglars struck at an unoccupied house of Grove Park Terrace between 8pm on Saturday, April 12 and 4.45am the following day. The door was forced and a passport and electric tools were taken.

Police are urging residents to lock properties, even when they are at home.
