Police in Harrogate are appealing for information about the following incidents which have been reported in the town.

l Two teenagers were yesterday in police custody for questioning after being arrested in connection with a burglary on Stonefall Avenue in Harrogate, at around 5.15am on Wednesday July 24.

l Policing clamping down on travelling criminals have made three arrests near Knaresborough. Two men, aged 24 and 40, were arrested on the A1 at 4.25pm on Monday, on suspicion of conspiring to steal a motor vehicle. All three men are from Darlington. They were travelling in a Subaru car and a Volkswagen van, stolen from Hexham on June 30. Officers also recovered a number of car parts, believed to be stolen, from the van.

l Harrogate police are appealing for a driver to come forward following a minor collision on Cold Bath Road. The bumper of beige BMW X5 was damaged sometime overnight last Friday, with the driver of the other leaving a note with their name - Vicky - and phone number on. Police say she left the wrong number, and are asking her to get back in touch.

l A so called ‘two-in-one burglary’, where thieves break into a house to steal car keys and then the car, happened on Crag Lane, Huby, last weekend. Burglars struck overnight between Saturday, July 20, and Sunday July 21. A black Audi A3 was stolen after offenders broke into a property and took the keys.
