A MOTORCYCLIST has been killed in a three-car crash on the A661 near Knaresborough.
The man, aged in his 50s and believed to be from the Wetherby area, was airlifted to LGI after the crash between Plompton Rocks and the Kirk Deighton junction.
He had been in collision with a black Ford Ka and a black Vauxhall Corsa at 3.30pm on Tuesday.
The driver of the Ford Ka sustained minor injuries and the driver of the Corsa was uninjured.
The motorcyclist, on a black Kawasaki, had been travelling towards Harrogate and the two cars were travelling in the opposite direction.
The road was closed to allow collision investigators to examine the scene, it was reopened at around 6.30pm.
