A VIOLENT thug left a teenager needing facial surgery after an attack outside the Rehab bar late on Thursday night.
A 19-year-old from Knaresborough suffered a broken jaw after being punched in the face and had to be taken to Harrogate District Hospital for surgery.
Police have now released CCTV images of a man they believe to be his attacker, who had been refused entry to the club at around 1.30am.
PC Steven Dougall, of Harrogate police, said: “This was a particularly nasty incident which left the victim needing surgery.
“The CCTV image shows a clear picture of the suspect and I am confident that someone will be able to help us identify him.
“I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident itself or can help us identify the suspect to contact the police or Crimestoppers with information.”
Police said the victim had been stood outside the Parliament Street bar when he got talking to his attacker, who punched him in the face before making off along Oxford Street.
They said they have conducted extensive enquiries in the area and are now appealing to the public to help identify the offender.
Anyone with information is asked to call PC Dougall on 0845 6060247, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
