Assault on woman by three youths - allegation

POLICE in Harrogate are appealing for information after a woman was allegedly assaulted in St Mark’s Avenue.

The woman, aged in her 40s, was walking towards Leeds Road when she was verbally abused by a group of three youths who then assaulted her and she fell to the ground.

Although she received hand injuries in the incident, she did not require hospital treatment.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident, between 6pm and 7pm on either Friday February 24 or Saturday February 25, to come forward.

Police would also like to trace the occupants of white or cream coloured Mini with tinted windows which was parked on St Mark’s Avenue around the time of the incident as they could have information which could help the investigation.
