Police are appealing for the public’s help to find a wanted man who is accused of committing 18 offences in Harrogate.

Zydrunas Scerbinskas is accused of 18 charges of fraud by false representation, said to have been committed in the Harrogate area at the end of 2012.

A bench warrant has now been issued for his arrest by York Crown Court after the 27-year-old, from Leeds, failed to turn up to answer the charges.

Police have been making extensive enquiries in an effort to trace Scerbinskas, officers have said, and they are now asking the public to be vigilant and report any sightings.

Anyone with information is asked to call North Yorkshire Police on 101, selecting option two and asking for Det Con Gary Blackburn or Harrogate CID, quoting reference 12130020483.

Information can also be emailed to gary.blackburn@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk, or Crimestoppers can be called anonymously on 0800 555111.
