Antique jewellery stolen in Harrogate burglary

Antique jewellery worth up to £15,000 has been stolen in a burglary at a Harrogate town centre store.

Thieves struck at the Harrogate Antiques Centre on Leeds Road at around 8pm on Thursday, November 14.

They stole distinct jewellery valued at between £10,000 and £15,000, including Tiffany bracelets, diamond, cameo and turquoise brooches, emerald and diamond, sapphire and solitaire rings.

Also taken were Tiffany and pearl necklaces, bloodstone and diamond heart pendants as well as pearl and clip-on earrings. The thieves also took Omega, Mudu and Longine wristwatches.

“If you have been offered any jewellery, matching the description of the stolen property, in unusual circumstances I urge you to contact the police straight away,” said PC David Mackay, of Harrogate Safer Neighbourhood Team.

“I am also keen to speak to anyone who can help to identify those responsible for this theft and urge them to get in touch as soon as possible.”
