At last summer is on its way and so is the summer’s biggest outdoor pursuits event.

Calling all adrenaline junkies and lovers of the great outdoors – the Yorkshire Outdoor Pursuits is coming to Leeds.

Are you a climber or a mountain biker? Do you want to learn about outdoor survival skills from the experts? Are you interested in every outdoor activity imaginable?

Then make a date now for the Yorkshire Outdoor Pursuits Show at Millennium Square in Leeds from August 17-19.

Three days of high-octane outdoor action will see the best of the countryside adventure industry pitch up right in the heart of the city.

And a big line-up of attractions has already been confirmed:

- Ben Savage with the Savage Skills mountain bike team and their ‘Ultimate Air Show’

●- A 50-metre mobile zip line provided by Extreme Adventure (the only one of its kind in Europe)

- Bushcraft & Survival Skills, where people can learn about, or brush up on their survival and tracking skills

●- Two Roktagon climbing features – the unique climbing system from ROKT

●- An amazing single deck bus that replicates a caving system inside

●- Slack lining (the latest American craze to hit the UK in recent years)

●- A climbing wall

●- A low ropes course

Organised by JP Yorkshire Events & Exhibitions, the show’s key partners are Rat Race Adventure Sports, Welcome to Yorkshire and Yorkshire-based activity provider ROKT.

Commercial manager Janet Shaw said, “Some people questioned why we have decided to bring an outdoors show to the centre of Leeds. But within a 20 mile radius of Leeds almost every type of outdoor activity imaginable can be found and the show is gaining momentum now. Our aim is to make the event as spectacular as we can with iconic interactivity at the heart of it.”

All of the interactivity will be free for visitors to enjoy and is included in the £5 adult ticket price (children under 16 free) with the exception of the mobile zip line, which is being charged at £1 per ride.
