A Wetherby accountancy firm has helped a Yorkshire retailer to expand – thanks to the power of social media.

Franks Accountants and Leeds-based Four Seasons Interiors were brought together when their owners met through #WetherbyHour, a Twitter initiative which evolved into a networking event.

Adam Franks, owner of Franks Accountants, helped kitchen specialist Four Seasons to acquire another Leeds retailer, Danby Interiors, enabling Four Seasons to expand into new markets.

Mr Franks’ advice, which included splitting the company into different groups, has since helped maximise Four Seasons’ profitability.

Ian Sandford, managing director of Four Seasons Interiors, said: “Franks Accountants’ business advice has given the company a new lease of life and a fresh approach to accounting with its hands-on support and personal touch, which has given me the confidence to move Four Seasons Interiors forward.”

Franks Accountants has amassed more than 50 clients since it was formed last year.

Mr Franks said: “It is an exciting period for us and with clients such as Four Seasons on board, this will allow the business to grow further.”
